House in Nagaizumi-cho｜長泉町の家｜2025 new!

静岡県駿東郡長泉町の山間部、1970年代に美術館やスポーツグラウンドなどとともに開発された地区の一角に建つ住宅である。
自然を樹木や植物といった目に見える対象としてだけではなく、焚き火の揺らめき、肌に触れる微風、時間とともに移ろう光など、身体の感覚を呼び起こす現象として捉えた。
日本建築や日本庭園に見られる空間は、一度に全体を把握するものではなく、歩く、立ち止まる、振り返る、座るといった所作を通して、時間の中で少しずつ経験されていく。この住宅ではその形式をなぞるのではなく、自然の気配が建物の内部へ浸透し、静かな奥行きのある空間を求めた。
建物の中心に設けた筒状の空隙は、主要動線を兼ねながら上下階をつなぎ、光や空気の変化を建物全体に連続させる余白となる。その一部をゆるやかにクランクさせることでハイサイド窓からの拡散光を内部へ導き、オープンスペースに配した列柱を介して、時間とともに変化する光と影の濃淡をつくる。光に満たされた上部の気積は、直接触れることのできない領域として残され、空間全体の奥行きを深めている。
自然を風景としてただ眺めるだけでなく、建物の奥へ入り込む微細な変化を日々の所作の中で受け取り、時間の感覚がゆるやかに開かれていく住まいを目指した。

This house is located in a mountainous area of Nagaizumi, Shizuoka, within a district developed in the 1970s together with a museum and sports grounds.
Nature is understood not only as visible elements such as trees and plants, but also as phenomena that awaken bodily perception: the flicker of fire, a breeze felt on the skin, and light shifting with time.
In Japanese architecture and gardens, space is not grasped all at once. It is gradually experienced through gestures such as walking, pausing, turning back, and sitting. Rather than reproducing these forms, the house seeks a quiet depth of space, allowing the presence of nature to permeate the interior.
At the center of the house is a cylindrical void that also serves as the main circulation, connecting the upper and lower floors while allowing changes in light and air to continue throughout the building. By gently cranking part of this void, diffused light from the high-side windows is drawn into the interior. Through the row of columns placed in the open space, changing gradations of light and shadow are formed over time. The light-filled volume above remains an area that cannot be directly touched, deepening the spatial depth of the house as a whole.
Rather than treating nature as scenery to be viewed, the house receives subtle changes that enter deep into the building through daily gestures, opening a slower sense of time within the space.

Small House N｜2025 new!

都市の中の限られた敷地に建つ小さな住宅である。周囲には建物や電線、道路、駐車場が近接し、外へ大きく開くことが必ずしも豊かさにつながる環境ではなかった。この住宅では眺望を得ることよりも、都市の中にある微細な光や風、時間の移ろいを、いくつもの層を介して室内へ導くことを考えた。
外壁、開口、吹抜け、階段、建具、家具をゆるやかに連続させ、複数の層を重ねながら、空間を分断することなくひとつの環境として計画した。窓から入る光は、左官の表情や木の質感を通して柔らかな奥行きを生み、立つ、座る、階段を上がる、窓辺に留まるといった日々の所作が、空間の中に小さな溜まりをつくっていく。
外部へ大きく開くのではなく、都市の中に潜む微細な現象を受け入れ、その気配が暮らしの内側へ静かに浸透していく。広さではなく、深さによって世界を感じるための住宅である。

Small House N is a compact house on a limited urban site. Surrounded closely by neighboring buildings, utility lines, roads, and parking spaces, the site was not one where opening widely to the outside would necessarily create richness. Rather than seeking a view, the project draws subtle elements of the city — light, wind, and the passage of time — into the interior through a series of layers.
Exterior walls, openings, voids, stairs, fittings, and furniture are loosely connected to form a continuous environment rather than a collection of separate rooms. Light entering through the windows gains a soft depth through the texture of plaster and wood, while everyday gestures — standing, sitting, moving up the stairs, or pausing by the window — create small pockets of stillness within the space.
Instead of opening broadly to the outside, the house receives the subtle phenomena latent in the city, allowing their presence to quietly permeate the interior of daily life. It is a house for sensing the world through depth rather than spaciousness.

HOUSE A｜2023

街の中心部、城趾から碁盤の目のように広がる街区の交差点に建つ住宅である。交通量の多い角地という環境に対して、防犯性や遮音性を確保しながらも、街から切り離された閉鎖的な住まいではなく、街の気配を日々の暮らしの中に受け止める建築を目指した。
敷地全体に、街のグリッドから45度振った基準グリッドを設定し、斜めの壁と2層のワッフル状のスラブによって空間を構成した。角度をずらすことで、窓からの視線は街区の奥へと抜け、外周に生まれる三角形の余白は、道路や隣家とのあいだに柔らかな距離をつくる。庭やテラス、土間、吹抜けを建物の内外に散りばめることで、街と暮らしが段階的に重なり合う、連続した環境をつくった。
粗いコンクリート打放しと掻き落としの左官壁は、内と外を同じ質感でつなぎながら、素材の肌理に現れる陰影や反射する光によって、街の時間を身体の感覚へと静かに滲ませていく。日々の所作の中で街の気配を受け取り、世界との関係が静かに結び直される住まいを目指した。

House A stands at an intersection in the centre of the city, on a site within an urban grid extending from the former castle grounds. Many of the surrounding buildings are aligned with this grid, while parking areas, gardens and other open spaces give the neighbourhood a generous atmosphere. Although the client required a high enclosing wall for security and acoustic protection, the aim was not to create a closed house, but an architecture that could receive the presence of the city within everyday life.
A reference grid rotated 45 degrees from the urban grid was set across the site. Diagonal walls and two layers of waffle slabs organise the house. This shift in angle allows views from the windows to pass through the urban blocks, while the triangular margins formed along the perimeter create a gentle distance from the street and neighbouring houses. Gardens, terraces, an earthen-floored passage and a void are placed inside and around the building, creating a continuous environment in which the city and domestic life overlap in gradual layers.
The rough fair-faced concrete and scraped-finish plaster walls connect inside and outside through a shared material sensibility. Through the shadows and reflected light that appear on their textured surfaces, the time of the city quietly seeps into bodily perception.
Within the gestures of everyday life, the presence of the city is received in fragments. The house seeks to become a place where the relationship between the self and the world is quietly reconnected.

Renovation of Jissoji-Temple, Phase 1 and 2｜実相寺改修工事, 第一期・第二期｜2016-2022 new!

実相寺毘沙門堂＜2016＞の竣工後、ご住職の中村康祐氏と共に実相寺の今後を見据えた全体計画を進めている。まず境内全体を測量し、敷地境界と既存建物の状況を把握した。そして、建物ごとの耐震性、機能性、老朽化や雨漏りなどの劣化状況を調査し、長期スパンの計画として、部分をつなぎ合わせるように少しずつ更新を重ねている。

既に完成している主な改修内容として、出入口に制限のあった本堂入口扉を大きく開放できる木製引分け戸へ更新し、敷地外周・墓地の境界となるスチール塀と水屋も更新した。＜第一期＞
また、雨漏りがひどかった庫裏の一部（多目的室・収納棚・洗濯場・玄関・玄関収納・和室・便所）を改修した。庫裏改修に合わせて、玄関前の庭とコンクリート円弧境界塀の新設、庫裏デッキテラスの新設、植栽の追加などを実施した。＜第二期＞

House in Kannami-cho｜函南町の家｜2023

神社の鳥居や垣のつくる領域に興味がある。囲うことや潜ることの形式や行為が、何もない空白のなかに手前と奥の感覚を生み、場所への意識を変化させる。ひとつながりの場所なのに空気が変わったような印象を受けるのは、この見えない領域を意識する感覚によるものだろう。この関係性を、街と住宅に置き換えてみる。住宅を街という大きな空間のなかの空白と捉え、街の奥に展開する暮らしについて考える。

計画地は、工場や月極駐車場、医院、長屋のような店舗の建て込んだ一角にある。敷地一帯が境界線を跨ぐようにアスファルトに覆われていて、どこまでが道でどこからが敷地なのか一見してわからない。抜け道として各敷地を通過していく人や車も多く、当初は駐車場に住宅を計画するような印象を持ったが、何度か敷地を訪れていると、風化したアスファルトの荒さやパッチワークのような継ぎ目が、コンパクトな街の風景に馴染んでいると感じるようになった。街と暮らし、それらを構成するものを単に切り分けて整理するのではなく、敷地を横断するこの街の印象を住宅の領域に引き入れたいと思った。

まず、敷地境界線から各面をセットバックし、敷地よりひとまわり小さい建物の外形を設定した。そのなかに生活の溜まりとなる場所や連続する通路を配し、建物内外を巡るシークエンスをつくりだした。そこに寄りつくように住まいに必要な諸機能や室を接続し、異なるボリュームの寄せ集まった佇まいが生まれていった。外壁はアスファルトの色味や肌理を踏襲したモルタル掻き落とし仕上げとし、周囲に広がるアスファルト舗装の印象と馴染ませている。シークエンスの起点となる場所には光を落とす筒状のトップライトを設け、気積の違いや床の勾配と合わせて場所ごとの陰影を変化させた。通過し視線をつなぐ各窓からは、切り取られた建物の外壁と街の景色が見え隠れし、慣れ親しんだ街とこの場所とを結びつける。日々の暮らしのなかで、見えることと見えないことの体験の蓄積によって、意識の中に固有の風景がつくられていくことを求めた。
